Due to ongoing social distancing measures to address the COVID-19 pandemic, our March monthly meeting has been cancelled and the Doneraile House event planned for the 4th April is postponed. We also received news from the UK that the Summer Jaguar Festival at Newby Hall which was scheduled for May has been postponed until August. Further disruptions are expected depending on how long the measures remain in place, and of course we would not want members to take unnecessary risks. We hope you are all staying safe and well.
A letter sent by the Fife and Tayside branch of the JEC, welcoming members to Scotland for the 3rd to 6th May trip is available here: Pitlochry Brochure 2019.
After the disappointment of having to cancel our annual Christmas lunch due to adverse weather, a new date has been set.
Sunday the 28th of January at the Garryvoe Hotel for 12.30. This will be followed by our AGM, combining both events in the one day. Michael Mullins will notify all members early in the new. Hopefully we will have better luck weather wise. Looking forward to seeing you all.
Happy Christmas to everyone and a safe new year.
Due to inclement weather in various parts of the country today, we sadly made the decision to cancel our much anticipated Christmas Lunch. We have been extremely lucky in past years, weather wise on this day so today’s weather though disappointing is a first as far as my memory recalls.
Apologies to everyone, especially the Garryvoe Hotel, who were most understanding but our members safety is a priority for the club.
This is the latest offering from Jaguar’s range of Concept Cars.

After much deliberation and negotiations, I can finally announce that I have successfully secured another iconic car from the JDHT collection for Terenure Classic Car show 2017. After a few years absence, it’s finally back on. Joining a breathtaking list of cars that we have displayed from JDHT over the last 10 years, is the XJ Broadspeed. A big thank you must go to Tony Merrygold of JDHT for his support in helping me achieve this. Also I would like to thank Jim Ryan from Spirit Motors group for their continued support of this event. The car, as before will be displayed in their showroom on the Friday and Saturday prior to the car show.
