Report and Photos from Doneraile Trip

On Saturday 26th June, our first outing took place at Doneraile Court, Co Cork. Located off the M20 between Cork and Limerick, Doneraile Court estate, parkland, gardens and house was an ideal location to meet up for our get-together and picnic with Covid-19 restrictions in place.

We were scheduled to visit the house with 4 people being allowed every hour, as a result not everyone had an opportunity to see this wonderful house which dates back to the 1720s when it was built for the first viscount of Doneraile, Arthur St. Leger. The house you see today is the modified building from the 19th century. The family remained in residence until 1969 and in 1994 the estate came into the stewardship of the Office of Public Works.

Thirteen cars attended this event which added greatly to the visitor attraction. Assembling at 11.30am we had our picnic in the parkland. The day was warm and pleasant with bursts of sunshine throughout the day.

It was great to see you all again and everyone was delighted to be able to meet up. Thank you for coming along and adding to the spectacular display of cars on the day.

Looking forward to Ballylickey.
