Meeting Report 28-September-2016

It was a damp Wednesday night in Cork, but a cup of tea in the pleasant surroundings of the Kingsley Hotel and good company put us all in good spirits. A few of the regulars were absent, with plausible reasons, so we just called them a few choice names before getting down to business.

  • The Ballylickey trip was a great success, with some new faces. Inclement weather didn’t take from our enjoyment of the weekend.
  • There was further discussion about a trip to Windsor (mentioned at the May meeting, and a few times since). Some members are definitely going, to an event organised by the UK club.
  • The arrangements for the Christmas Lunch have been under consideration – with the date of 4th December being settled on, and the venue of Castlemartyr Hotel at 1pm.
  • We have been contacted by the JEC Northern Ireland region, and they would like to join us for one of our events next year. We’ll share our Calendar of Events with them when it’s agreed at the end of January to see what suits them.
