Terenure Classic Car Show 2016.

A truly enjoyable  weekend was had by all at the annual Terenure Classic car Show.

The highlight, was without doubt Larry Mohally’s beautifully restored Xk120. A project 8 years in the making. This was the main attraction for all visitors to our stand. Equal in stature to any car that we have displayed from the JDHT  in the past, and definitely as popular.

The weekend began with a welcome visit to Spirit Motors to view the impressive Jaguar range and catch up with the staff. I got to test drive the newest addition to the range The FPace, which made quite an impression on me.

Saturday was rounded off with dinner at John & Miriam’s and was a truly enjoyable night. Good food, good company and musical performances by the clubs new singing duet. They shall remain nameless to avoid poaching from other interested clubs.

The show itself was blessed with good weather. Larry’s car won two awards. Deservedly so I might add. Talent like this has to be recognised. It’s great to see Larry’s grandson  Robert following in Larry’s footsteps. Larry is passing on his knowledge to the next generation.

We had a nice selection of cars on the club stand. From the E Type to the Xjs and the Mark 11.  An XJ coupe and even an Aston Martin. Thank you to everyone who helped make this a truly enjoyable weekend. Hope everyone got home safe.
